- From Lady Doves...
I came to this place one day in my travels. As I wonderd about I was received by a few friendly folks and found myself welcome . In my home town where things are very different. I made many things, scented oils was one of them. Soon I was walking around town and next thing I knew I was a part of my new home. After making some oil from the beautful yellow flower, I heard the story of what it meant and then I began to make other oils. Now if anyone wishes some of the oil, just let me know. If some one can help me with a male-scented oil, I would be delighted to make one for the men as well.
The Lady Doves thanks you all and be well!

- The larl is dead at the hand of aurora, but there may be more...beware! the fortress is still off limits untill it is certain that there are no more larls about.
- A reminder to all slaves: Do not make the error of touching weapons or it will be dealt with as was the case with the city's first girl.
- Tamascus/mia have adopted their ironrose nicknames of Rayden/celeste and he has re-collared his precious girl and placed her in white.
- It's been relatively quiet the past week or so. No animal attacks since the larl killed the woodman and was disposed of. There is still a tunnel underneath the fortress which needs to be blocked and watched. There have been no recent sightings of suspicious strangers, but citizens are suggested to keep their eyes open. One never knows who or what lurks behind dark corners.
- The Ubar grants credit to all that bring visitors here (500 credits) or help newbies in the portal (300 credits), plus has been paying generously to others that have performed various services to the city
- Request:--please do not use the Crimson_Tavern, Talender_Inn, or home_stone as an entry point into the talker unless you plan to STAY once you log in. Slaves are reminded to use the slave_gathering for exit and entry. Freepersons could use entry sites such as the Ship, Dock, Portal, Tarn or simply the Freepersons_Hall.

Humor
One year when Kyelim was very young, only 5 years of age, his teacher was discussing with the class the great flood that happened in Turia. He wanted the young students to visualise how traumatic an event it was. The task for the day was to come up to the front of the class and to illustrate on the slate-board something that was exciting in their lives. Little Mohkrash was the first child called upon. He came up to the board and drew a jagged line from the top of the board to the bottom.
"What does that represent?" asked the teacher.
"That's lightning," replied Mohkrash. "When there is a storm, with lightning and thunder, that is really exciting."
The teacher erased the line, and called Dakra to the board. She drew a big wavey line from left to right.
"And what does that represent?" asked the teacher.
"That's a big fire. Once there was a grass fire that burned all the crops in Turia. It had the entire city scrambling to put it out."
As he erased the waves, the teacher calls Kyelim to the board. He goes up to the board a draws a single dot, right in the middle of the board.
"And what is that?" queried the teacher.?
"That's a period," replied the boy.
"What is so exciting about a period?" the teacher asked.
"I'm not really sure," replied the little boy, Kyelim, "but my sister hasn't had one in two months and my whole family is excited!"***
There was once a young man from Torvaldsland...
This young man decides to travel north beyond the Axe Glacier to the polar basin to hunt sea sleen with the Red Hunters that dwell there. Now he is new to all this, and far on the ice hunting sea sleen he desires the pleasures due a young warrior, yet all about him are the male red hunters.
The young man approached Tarduk the Elder, and explains his wishes.
Tarduk points to the trained ice sleen that draws the sleds.
Now this young man decides he would not stoop to seeking pleasure from a sleen, so he bides his time and waits another day. His hunger again growing, he approaches Tarduk for advice.. once again, Tarduk points to the ice sleen that draw the sled.
The young man of Torvalsland thinks the Red Hunters a strange people, but he will not offend them by speaking his feelings, he merely returns to the hunt for another day.
On the third day, the young man's hunger is overpowering, and he entreats to Tarduk to show him how he should relieve this hunger. Once more Tarduk points to the trained sleen. Sighing heavily, and taking this as one of Life's Great Lessons, the young man approaches the ice sleen.
An hour or two later, he rejoins the hunters, muchly mauled and torn and bleeding, yet greatly releieved. The hunters looked to him, and immediately began laughing uproariously.
When the young man asks why they are laughing, one says, "You silly Torvaldsman... you take sleen to the ice hut wear the girls and supplies are kept. It is only 5 pasangs away!***
There was a party of Panther girls in the middle of the woods. One of them became very drunk, boisterous, and boasts..."I can beat any woman or man within a 10 pasangs or more!"
Eventually, the others tire of her words and noise, and make her this challenge. "We bet, noisy girl, that you cannot drink this whole skin of paga, kill a sleen and then have your way with a man before 2 ahns are up."
The drunk loud Panther girl accepts the challenge and proceeds to guzzle the paga straight from the skin becoming even more drunk than before.
Next she wanders into the woods, and for pasangs around, for a good full ahn, the other Panther girls hear screaming and snarling and much commotion.
Eventually the loud Panther girl re-emerges from the forest and drunkenly asks, "Okay..Wheresh the man I gotta kill?"***
An ugly, but well dressed Master walks into a tavern bar and sits down on some furs. A pretty young coingirl walks over and kneels at his feet. After a couple of ehns pass he turns to her and asks, "Would you be willing to go to the alcoves with me for a 300 gold tarn disks"?
The coingirl hesitates, flaggergasted, for a few seconds and then says, "Yes for a 300 gold tarn disks, a girl surely would."
The Master than asks, "Would you go to the alcoves with for one copper tarn disk"?
The coingirl suddenly takes offence and gets angry and says, "just what do you think this girl is"?
"Well," the Master says, "we have established that. All we are doing now is haggling over price."
