I'm particularly excited with this issue and the news we have regarding the upcoming Harvest Festival. The auction and the raffle both look like they will be well attended. The trivia contest is something I am also looking forward to. We will also be having poetry and songs from our fine resident artists. And a lot more. So much happens and so many plans get laid, I can't get all the updates, so keep your eyes on the boards for further information.
Also in the issue I'd like to express special thanks to Khim for giving us an interview. She provided quick turnaround in all things and was very helpful and it is very much appreciation. Thanks Khim!
And while I'm thanking people, I'd like to thank aurora for keeping me as updated as possible on events. And thanks too for Maal and Xavier for their contributions and to all the others who have submitted announcements and news items.
And major thanks too go out to each and every one who contribute in their way to making Baren Touhk the city it is, a shining, gleaming proud city of Gor. The energy and enthusiasm of all speaks well of us as a community.

I was approached by a concern regarding my idea for a "Rumors" section to the Gazette. The concern was as to whether or not the nature of "rumors" wouldn't be a negetive thing. This of course was nothing more than a miscommunication on my part. By "rumors" I mean hints and information to events involving various roleplaying events. So for the next issue, I'd still like to have a section devoted to roleplaying events, but I may choose a different name (I am open to suggestions)Trivia: name an editor of the gazette who has strong appreciations for roleplayingI really do feel that one of the things that makes our city special are the creative people we have here. As most of you know, it is policy to allow *Citizen Roleplayer* characters to inhabit the city for purposes of roleplaying, scenery, or just general fun. You can be animal (like the bosk or larl) or a person (such as the peasant or the woodcutter) or maybe something else? You can interact quietly in the background, or interact with other people on the board. Imagination is the only limit!
If you have any questions on how to run a *Citizens Roleplayer* character, or would like some help in creating a character or story, feel free to approach any of your friendly neighborhood DMs. They'd be more than happy to help.

By the next issue, I may be presenting a slightly different format for the Gazette, one in which the front page contains mostly links to the other featured areas. In truth, I had wished to do it with this issue, but waited too long. The idea behind the new format is to streamline loading time. If anyone has other suggestions or ideas, please feel free to send them in.
Finally, I'd like to remind everyone that the Gazette exists for the you, the Citizens and visitors of Baren Touhk. We would like to have you participate in it by submitting your articles, poems and announcements. Submissions or information can be sent in anytime prior to two days before publication (or later by arrangement). Some items to send in...
