Tal, and welcome!

It is my distinct and absolute pleasure this month to welcome each and every new member we've had join us this past month. Check out https://members.tripod.com/Baren_Touhk/citizens.htm for the latest numbers. Over 120 citizens total. Is it any wonder we've been adding rooms? I'd like to not only welcome everybody who has joined us this past month, but also express my thanks and appreciation to everyone that has gone into the portals to welcome new users, and to help everyone get settled in.

While I'm passing around thanks, I'd like to thank caemlyn, nyia and lissa for their help in this month's gazette. nyia gave us the entertaining interview with Beowulf and and sadira. caemlyn has taken on the awesome task of trying to keep track of all the newcomers and new silkings on top of the news going about the city. lissa has offered to help your poor Gazeteer here in proofing. A daunting task, and much appreciated. (Note, in considering the proximity of the festival to the release of this issue, I'm posting before lissa has had a chance to report in the edits, but I'll update and fix as I get corrections.)

Okay, and Festival time! Make sure you check the .show festival and the .show schedule for the daily latest on what's happening. We've already had a fantastic mock auction, and loads of rafflees up. Check out the Festival Guide for more information.

We've been seeing some more along the lines of roleplay in the city lately. Most excellent! Between fires in the tavern, a fool on the run and combat in the arena, we're seeing a lot of activity.

Finally (on this topic anyway) if you wish to write a regular feature, simply contact me and pitch your idea. We have a fairly open editorial policy. We are primarily here to inform, but also to entertain and amuse. For some ideas for submissions, scroll down lower in the page.
