Baren Touhk Masquerade Ball Info

The Masquerade Ball is at 5-7 pm Eastern time on December 4. The auction will be held at 9 pm Eastern time the same day. Raffle results will be smailed the next day. Auction results will be posted in the .show results

You do not have to wear a constume to the ball. However, if you do create an account for an alt character-in-costume, you should meet the doorman (who will have the name "Doorman" and be in costume as well). You will tell the doorman in a .tell who you really are. He/she will not reveal your identity to anyone.
Later in the evening two lists will be posted on the home_stone board. To read the lists type .read home. One list will be a list of all those in costume. The other list will be a list of the real identities of all that are in a costume. For example:
--real list might be: jade, Tron, Givur, sulis, Fane, sasha, telma, Esau,
(real list will have extra names of people who did not participate to throw off the guessing)
--fake list might be: Horis, Keyster, balis, amy, Flip
After the two lists are posted in home_stone, anyone in costume can post thier guesses on the homestone board of who is who. Sorry, unless you wear a costume to the party you can not guess or post your guesses to play the game.
Pick a person you suspect on not attending to link with your own fake identity if you want, and that guess will not count against you. There will be a 5000 reward for any getting all right. For example jade might post her guesses as:
--Horis/sulis, Keyster/Tron, balis/Fane, amy/Givur, Flip/telma (Flip was really jade, but jade thinks telma was not there so is putting this down so no one will know who jade really was--this guess won't count against her).
During the ball people are encouraged to relax and have fun, exchange tales, jokes, play games, do gorean trivia, slave position drills (wondering is that slave in a costume...really a slave, LOL?)
Those on the auction block please show up on time, so you can meet with the auctioneer briefly before the auction.
All are free to lend/give/borrow credits from one another. The 700 rule for slaves is no longer in effect. No credits will be given out at the ball by the city, except as prizes for the guessing game.
You may post an incorrect match for your own identity and it will not count against you. Plus there will be a few added names in the real list of people that did not participate, just to throw things out of whack.

Auction Information

Slaves will get the purchase price of the auction. they are recommended to disperse most of their credits to the Freeperson of their choice.
The auction bidding begins when the auctioneer opens the bidding on the auctionnee. To see your available funds type .balance. To bid on a person type .bid # (for example, .bid 50) Emoting a bid rather than actually using the .bid command results in a fine to your account. This fine is double the amount you emote.
This auction will be logged and will be made available on the CT web page. See .show www for address.
For a preview of auctionees type .show auction. You must be present to be auctioned. If you show up late, you risk losing your auction opportunity. You cannot place bids on someone else's behalf. You cannot buy an auctionee "for" someone else. This defeats the .set igall function. Any arrangement mutually negotiated after purchase is fine.

Allows you to bid on the current auction. If you are on the user's .set igall list, your bid will be rejected automatically. If you are the winning bid, the amount of your bid will automatically be transferred from you to the auctioned user.
Typing .bid alone will show you the current bid and who placed it.

Smail your raffle offer to aurora immediately. No credits will be given out, so free persons should make raffle ticket prices low if they make an offer as slaves will not have many credits.
Raffle is open up to all citizens. Garden helpers are invited to join in as well. Let's get those tickets sold!
The 700 rule (rule 13) was abolished. All may lend, give, or borrow credits among friends. Also those wishing to be in the raffle or on the auction block should smail aurora as soon as possible.
All offers need to include:
1. What you offer (one scene, 4 hours, 3 days temp collar, or dance lessons etc.)
2. Preferences (for Masters only, or male slaves only, etc)
3. Price of the ticket or starting bid
4. Names of any you do not wish to be sold to on raffle (you can block certain users on auction by typing .igall name)
